TriFit’s History

Hey guys, Laurel here. TriFit was founded in 2005 by a passionate husband and wife team who wanted to break away from the “big box gym” scene to offer a boutique, personalized group training experience. We’ve continued that focus, teaching functional exercises that help people move better, feel stronger and reduce risk of injury.

In January of 2017, I left my career as a corporate executive and purchased TriFit. It quickly became apparent to me that our country is really struggling with their health. The current wellness programs available in the market are not effectively moving the needle for companies or their employees. Our mission is to change that. Learn more about our wellness programs here.

As a former model, I grappled with terrible self esteem issues, eating disorders and substance abuse throughout my twenties. I know what it feels like to desperately want to love yourself and feel confident. Today, I am sober, happy and whole – and I am deeply passionate about helping others develop the tools to live a healthy life from the inside out.
